Scope of application

The following General Terms and Conditions shall apply between swissrent group AG (hereinafter referred to as swissrent) and the person booking (hereinafter referred to as the Customer). They are limited to the paid online reservation of overnight stays at a hotel with all ancillary services (hereinafter referred to overall as accommodation services) that is made in combination with online reservation of rental equipment for winter sports, the latter being subject to special terms and conditions.

Online Booking

Customers who have made and paid for a reservation for accommodation services shall immediately receive confirmation via e-mail. Prices The prices published at the respective swissrent accommodation partner (hereinafter referred to as Hotel Partner) shall apply. In the case of a reservation or payment online, the accommodation price shall be paid with a credit card. The prices include all statutory taxes and duties.

Insurance

The Customer shall pay for all insurance policies himself.

Cancellation

swissrent shall be notified of any cancellation in writing via e-mail (info@swissrent.com). The following cancellation conditions apply for the accommodation services:

- free cancellation up to 15 calendar days before the day of arrival;
- in the event of a cancellation 14 to 5 calendar days before the day of arrival: charge of 50% of the accommodation price;
- in the event of a cancellation from the fourth calendar day before the day of arrival and in case of no-shows: charge of the entire accommodation price.

Data protection

The Customer agrees to the collection and processing of personal data for the execution of the accommodation services and of further information from the Customer. At the same time, swissrent is obliged to only use the data collected for the purposes listed above and exclusively pass it on to the hotel partner, but not to third parties.

Newsletter

If you want to receive the newsletter that is offered on the website, we will need your email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the aforementioned email address and that you agree with receiving the newsletter.

To guarantee a consensual newsletter forwarding, we use the so-called double opt-in process, during the course of which the potential recipient can be added to an electronic distribution list. Afterwards, the user will be able to legally agree to the registration via a confirmation email. The address will only be actively added to the electronic distribution list after registration is completed.

We will only use this data to send the requested information and offers.

Mailchimp is the applied newsletter software. Your data is sent to the company Mailchimp during this process. Mailchimp may not sell your data or use it for other purposes than for sending newsletters. Mailchimp is a certified provider that was chosen according to the requirements for data privacy.

The granted approval for the storage of data, the email address, as well as their use for sending the newsletter can be revoked at any point via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

The measures regarding data protection laws are subject to the ever renewing technologies, which is why we ask you to regularly inform yourself about our data privacy measures by looking into our privacy policies.

Changes to this data protection declaration

swissrent may amend this data protection declaration at any time. Any changes will be reported here.

Encrypted data transfer

Your personal data (name, address and phone number) as well as bank or credit card information are protected against unauthorised access through the use of “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) encryption. By clicking on the right mouse button, you can ensure that your data is encrypted on the relevant pages. The degree of encryption can be checked by selecting “Properties” under “Connection” on the menu. Furthermore, double click on the lock displayed in the lower formatting menu of your Internet software (browser) to check the level of encryption.

Liability

swissrent is not a contractual party to the accommodation relationship. The respective hotel partner is exclusively liable for any claims that arise from or in connection with the accommodation services.

Applicable law and court of jurisdiction

Swiss law shall apply for these General Booking Terms. Sole court of jurisdiction is Davos. swissrent reserves the right to prosecute the Customer at the location of its registered office or place of residence or before any other appropriate court or competent authorities.
