Dave Kilshaw's Calanda Challenge

The original swissrent Challenge, co-designed by its namesake Dave Kilshaw, departs from Bike4Fun in Zizers/Landquart, or from the Alexanderplatz in Chur. From there, Challenge participants await a demanding route (6 Scan-Points, 14.4 km/24.4 km, and 1500 vertical meters) on a well-kept forest road from Haldenstein up to the Calandahütte SAC, at over 2000 meters above sea level. The Challenge is rewarded with breathtaking views of Chur and the Rheintal below, and 360-degree views of the surrounding Swiss Alps. After a celebratory drink and snack at the hut, all that’s left to do is enjoy the epic downhill back to the valley floor. Are you up to the Challenge?
